Find out how this wonderful couple was able to include as many guests for their wedding in the time of the pandemic
This year may have been a challenging time for most people, but Mikki and Bettinna may have a different opinion because they were able to write an inspirational journey towards their happy ever after. And the best part? They got to say their I Do’s twice in the same day.
Actress and TV host, Bettinna Carlos, met Mikki Eduardo this year. And in the time of the pandemic, their love story began. Their faith in God brought them together like they were meant for each other in His grace. Everything felt right and in place, and it was clear then that they wanted to get married this year despite the pandemic.
In the six weeks that we planned their wedding, everything was communicated virtually. Discussions were agreed upon and confirmations were done without having a face-to-face conversation. It was only on their wedding day that we were able to hug it out, as I offered my congratulations to her.
The couple wanted to invite more than forty guests for their wedding, which is the maximum capacity allowed for the venue under quarantine protocols. And so we divided their guests into two groups and decided to plan two intimate weddings in one day. That’s two full wedding ceremonies and receptions for two sets of guests on the same day.
There have been a lot of back and forth decisions when we were planning the entire thing, but the couple knows their priorities. In the end, they were able to focus on that and gave our team their complete trust to handle other details of their wedding. One of which is to make sure that all safety protocols are being observed. Both the guests, our team, and the suppliers were all tested prior to the wedding. On the day itself, we made sure that seats are distanced properly, everyone wore their masks, and food services followed the safety guidelines accordingly.
They also gave me the creative freedom to bring their dream wedding to life, and that kind of trust is something that I don’t take lightly. I made sure to honor and value their trust by serving them the best way I can. The concept for their wedding aisle is about God’s promises to them that led to the altar. The bible verses that carried them through their single life while they were praying to find the one were lined up along the aisle as a reminder of their journey with His words and promises, leading to their happiness.
The picturesque view from Tagaytay Highlands was the perfect backdrop for Bettinna and Mikki’s morning wedding. Looking like a woman of peace and grace, Bettinna walked down the aisle for the first time in an outdoor setup to exchange vows with Mikki.
The night wedding held a different look and feel, as they had the ceremony indoors this time. Sparklers added to the light in their eyes as they were proclaimed husband and wife the second time around.
Their pandemic love story may have been quick, but it was certain. And now, they get to welcome the coming new year as a family along with Bettinna’s daughter, Gummy.
